Responsibilities:
- Perform general accounting functions (including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll)
- Implement system integration with Quickbooks Online and Desktop including bank, credit card and payroll systems
- Other transaction recording (bank feed, credit card, merchant account and journal entries)
- Maintain and balance parent and subsidiary accounts and ledgers
- Compile, analyze, and reconcile financial information to prepare month-end entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- For onboarding, assist in the review of incoming clients’ accounting, with ability to identify concerns
- Participate in the development of correction plan and implementation
- Maintain files and documentation for transactions, in accordance with each client’s policy and accepted accounting practices
- Ensure compliance with accepted accounting principles and company policies/procedures for each client
- Complete special projects to meet additional client’s needs as assigned
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles
- You’ll need consistent experience and be proficient in QuickBooks (online and desktop) and Xero a plus
- Bring at least year of corporate accounting experience
- Excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry
- Comfortable and experienced with typical office and cloud based tools
- Ability to jump in and work independently
- The ability to work simultaneously on multiple clients’ books is a BIG plus
- Associate degree in Accounting required (bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
